Gopalpur Industrial Park, developed by Tata Steel Special Economic Zone Limited (TSSEZ), is one of the most significant industrial projects in Odisha. Located near Gopalpur in the Ganjam district, this large-scale industrial hub is designed to promote manufacturing, investment, and economic growth in the region. It plays a key role in transforming southern Odisha into a major industrial corridor.

Spread across nearly 2,970 acres, the industrial park is a multi-product Special Economic Zone (SEZ) that accommodates a wide range of industries. The park is divided into SEZ and Domestic Tariff Area (DTA), making it suitable for both export-oriented and domestic businesses. It primarily focuses on sectors such as steel, engineering, chemicals, and other emerging industries.

One of the major strengths of Gopalpur Industrial Park is its strategic location and excellent connectivity. It is situated close to National Highway 16 and has access to rail, road, air, and port facilities, making logistics efficient for industries. This connectivity also allows easy access to international markets, especially in East Asia, enhancing its importance as an export hub.

The park is designed with modern infrastructure and “plug-and-play” facilities, which help industries set up operations quickly. It includes ready land parcels, power supply, water facilities, and environmental clearances, making it highly attractive for investors. Several companies, including metal-based industries and manufacturing units, have already started operations within the park.
